The CSU Division 2 team participates in the Big Mountain Hockey Conference (BMHC) of the American College Hockey Association. The team was created at the Division 3 level in 2012-13 and quickly became a top-seed in the Pacific Region and annual contender at the Division 3 National Tournament finishing 6th in the nation in 2016-17. The team participates under the guidance and control of the CSU SLiCE (Student Leadership, Involvement, and Community Engagement) Office within the Department of Campus Recreation. Students must pass a minimum of 9 credits per semester and maintain a 2.0 minimum GPA (full ACHA requirements can be found here). The team strives to develop players into well-rounded individuals both on and off the ice through teaching teamwork, leadership, camaraderie, and time management. Not only do the players focus on bettering themselves as individuals and a team, they also strive to better the community and business in the Fort Collins area. The team moved from Division 3 up to Division 2 in the 2017-18 season to join the BMHC. We are a self funded program, with player dues ranging from $2500-$3500 depending on the season and schedule. Our regular seasons consist of 16 conference games and 30-32 games overall capped with a Big Mountain Conference Tournament (TBD), ACHA West Regionals (Phoenix, AZ), and ACHA Nationals (Dallas, TX).
